Showcase dates

Saturday, march 31- Sunday, April 1, 2018

 

Format - 3 games, size 5 ball, 11v11, Max Roster 22 with up to 5 Guest Players

    15U/16U 2x35 halves
    17U/19U 2x40 halves

15U through 19U must have 7 players to begin

Roster frozen at onset of tournament. Players may only play on one team in the Tournament, will need Medical Releases (do not need to be Notarized)

Guest Players:  5 guest players will be allowed per team. Guest Players must have a Guest Player Release, signed and dated by the releasing and receiving coaches and must have Player ID # included on release.

Club Pass Players are allowed:  Club Pass Players do not count as Guest Players.

Club Pass Players must be from the same Club.

DEADLINE: March 1st, for application - must be made on-line at www.texaslightning.org.  May be extended if necessary in some age groups.
At last year’s Showcase/Youth Cup, we maxed out with over 250 teams and over 70 teams on the Wait List.  We had over 140 College Coaches in attendance.  Don’t wait to apply! Teams that have entered a credit card #, eCheck # or mailed a check before the deadline of March 1 will be Accepted first.  If no payment is indicated, a team will be placed on the "WAIT LIST" and will be accepted by date of application if there is room in an age group and payment is indicated or mailed to us.

Please note: If you remit an electronic form of payment, your payment will not be deducted from your account until your team has been accepted, which will be right after the registration deadline.

CHECK-IN:  On line check in upload official roster and guest player releases, permission to travel if applicable, into your Tournament application in gotsoccer by March 25th.

A GOTSOCCER CHECK- IN LIST IS NOT AN OFFICAL ROSTER.  WE REQUIRE AN OFFICIAL ROSTER SUCH AS A STATE ROSTER OR ACADEMY ROSTER OR US CLUB ROSTER.

The Final Schedule, Copy of the Rules and Game Score Cards can be found on our web site.  Game Score Cards should be signed by the referee and brought to the Tournament Headquarters, the Pavilion, following each game, win or lose.  Scores will be posted on the Tournament web site.

NOTIFICATION: Accepted Teams and Schedules will be posted on the web site: www.texaslightning.org as soon as possible after the deadline.  There will be no refunds for teams that withdraw after the schedule is posted. Teams not accepted will receive a full refund.
 

IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE AFTER YOU HAVE MADE AN APPLICATION, YOU MUST NOTIFY THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR IMMEDIATELY at klbrown777@aol.com.


FAILURE TO REMIT THE ENTRY FEE DOES NOT SERVE AS NOTIFICATION THAT A TEAM WILL NOT BE PARTICIPATING; YOU MUST CONTACT THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR, BEFORE SCHEDULES ARE POSTED OR TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT, SHOULD YOU DECIDE NOT TO PARTICIPATE!  

2018 Texas Lightning Showcase/Youth Cup  Rules state: "Any team that withdraws from a tournament less than two (2) weeks from the start of the tournament or after the publication of the schedule, whichever comes first, or does not complete all required scheduled games, may not be allowed to enter any sanctioned tournaments until said team appears before the NTSSA Cup and Games Committee for a hearing explaining their actions and will forfeit their entry fee and performance bond, if one has been posted."


REFEREE: All games will use a 3 man referee system with all referees being USSF certified.
